The Saint Paul Blog

Spring is finally here (well, technically anyways)...

Here is a list of activities for you to enjoy when you're out and about in St. Paul this month:

Ongoing now through April 26 - Spring Flower Show at the Marjorie McNeely Conservatory.  Take a break from the cold and enjoy an afternoon strolling through the paths, viewing flowers, and smelling the wonderful smells in the conservatory.  If it's been a while since you've been to the conservatory, be sure to check it out!  They've made some amazing changes to the place!

April 12 - Annual Easter egg hunt in Irvine Park

April 18 - Spring Mississippi Clean up, sponsored by St. Thomas University.  Meet at the World War I memorial on the intersection of Summit Ave and Mississippi River Blvd at 10 AM to take part of this event.  It's a wonderful way to get the family out or just do an intentional act of kindness this Earth Day!  Be sure to bring rakes, gloves, and good work shoes.

April 19 - Wishes For Sky, 2009.  Head down to Harriet Island between 10:30 and 4:30 to write wishes on a kite in this large scale public art event!  Come rain or shine, and kites will be provided.  For more information go to www.wishesfortheksky.org

April 24-26 - St. Paul Art Crawl in Lowertown.  Check out the work from local artists!  I love the Spring art crawl - my theory is that the artists have been cooped up all winter working on their art, and the Spring Crawl is where they show off their masterpieces!  Check out www.stpaulartcrawl.org

April 25 - Farmers Market Season Opener.  At this time of year, you'll find meats, cheeses, eggs, honey, baked goods, chocolates, baby food, bagels, and more!  www.stpaulfarmersmarket.com
