As you can see, none of the neighborhoods showed an increase from 2007, which is rare! It is largely due to the number of foreclosures in each of the neighborhoods. Hopefully most of the remaining foreclosures will be purchased by loving homeowners in 2009 and we can start showing some appreciation again. Here are a few "fun facts" from 2008: · The neighborhood with the smallest decrease in value is Downtown/Capitol with only 5%. · The largest decrease was Central with 45%!! · The least expensive house to be sold in 2008 was a 4 bedroom, 1 bath in Phalen for $5,000! · The most expensive was a 5 bed 9 bath home for $2,150,000 to one of our local celebrities in Crocus Hill.
